Sankofa Animation Network is a faith-rooted creative collective and educational platform dedicated to uplifting Black and Brown communities through animated film and storytelling.
We bring together underrepresented animators, artists, storytellers, and creative thinkers of all levels to build community, preserve our stories, and reimagine what is possible through animation.
This meetup is intended to bring our communities and allies together in a safe, supporting and creatively inspiring way that builds community, friendships and personal growth.

Welcome everyone!! The Sketch to Story: Drawing Workshops are a free series of interactive classes held on Each Saturday this summer on Zoom. They are meant to build your storytelling, practice drawing and share ideas in a supportive, creative space.
In this series we’ll discover your inspiration, develop a protagonist character and brainstorm through story scenarios, giving you access to tools for creating your own unique content.
This class is open to everyone but EXTREMELY LIMITED! To attend you must Sign Up All lessons will be recorded and published for YouTube, Podcasts and promotional material for Sankofa Animation Network/Alicia Dianne Art Co.
