What we’re about
"A writer is a world trapped in a person" - Victor Hugo.
The Sankofa Black Writers Club is a public forum aimed at Black (African, African-Caribbean, Black British) people with a story to tell that reflects Black themes, ideas and inclusion within any genre; be it romantic, historical, science fiction or that gritty urban novel that must be written. You can be a writer, journalist, or poet of any level, and your creative output can be short stories, scripts, novels or poems.
The Club strives to be energetic, where people feel able to explore their potential in a safe, constructive and productive environment, whether you are just starting out on your creative path, or aspire to emulate Spike Lee or Shonda Rhimes.
Our activities will take place online.
If this sounds like you, step forward and participate.
