San Ysidro Canyon – McMenemy Trail Loop

3 hours; 5 miles; 1000 ft elevation gain. A moderate hike, with a reasonable amount of shade, but bring plenty of water. Starting from San Ysidro trailhead, we’ll take McMenemy trail, Saddle Rock to the Edison Catway, and Girard Trail back to the cars. We’ll stop for breaks at the McMenemy bench and the shade tree just before Saddle. San Ysidro trail is still closed - we'll turn off before we get to it.
