Here's one for more intermediate hikers.
A 7.5-mile circumnavigation of Rattlesnake Canyon encompassing one canyon, two ridges, and a mountain.
Meet at Rattlesnake Trailhead at 9:00am.
Stage One โ Hike up to Gibraltar Rock - 2.75 miles, 1,825โ elevation gain
Stage Two โ Walk up Gibraltar Road to the Rock Garden Trail (East - Not Camino Cielo) then on up to the peak of White Mountain - 1.75 miles, 650โ gain
Stage Three โ Go to the end of Rocky Pine Ridge, 0.75 miles away, and explore for a while. (people with poor metabolisms can take the opportunity to have some food here too)
Stage Four โ Drop down the front side of the ridge, through the Rattlesnake Connector saddle and up to Mission Ridge for our last stop.
Stage Five โ Along Mission Ridge to Tunnel fire road then drop down the primitive trail back to Rattlesnake Canyon
Total distance is 7.75 miles with elevation gain of 3,485โ total (estimated)
