This is the inaugural online event for the **Central Coast R Users Group**.

Couldn't make it to the in-person kickoffs in SB or SLO? Or maybe you attended those and want to see your new friends again?

We welcome any and all R fans, even those outside the Central Coast, to come get to know our amazing community.

This event will start with an hour-long "Intro to Tidymodels" workshop, targeted at those who are familiar with the Tidyverse but haven't dipped their toe into Tidymodels yet.

Already know Tidymodels? Come help out the newcomers - or bring your more complicated modeling questions for us to work through together.

After the workshop, we'll have 30 minutes of socializing via some simple, family-friendly games.

I am an Associate Professor of Statistics and Data Science at Cal Poly, where I teach many R classes (enthusiastically) and python classes (reluctantly). I am extremely passionate about the R community and the tidyverse - especially *tidymodels* and the in-development package *tidyclust*. I am excited to get to know more local R fans!
