OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! Invasive Fennel Removal Volunteer Day
Details
Join us on a misson to reduce fennel growing along the first mile fo the Arroyo Quemado Trail at Baron Ranch. We will remove the heads of invasive fennel and bag them. If time allows we will dig up the roots.
When: Saturday, October 25th, 9 am-1 pm (arrive at 8:45 am)
Where: Baron Ranch Trail, 14550 Calle Real, Goleta, CA 93117
Why: Invasive plants are a threat to our local ecosystem, and we want our trails to be beautiful and full of native species for everyone to enjoy!
We will begin at 9:00 AM, so please arrive early. All necessary tools will be provided.

Here are some important details to remember:
- Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, and eye protection (sunglasses are acceptable).
- Wear long pants and sturdy shoes (no sandals or shorts).
- Please be at the gate by 8:45 AM or earlier to sign waivers and attend a brief safety and tool talk.
- Don't forget your work gloves. If you don’t have any, we will have some available for use.
- We will provide loppers, bags, shovels, and other tools
