Hey all! The County of Santa Clara Office of LGBTQ Affairs, Division of Equity and Social Justice is hosting their seventh annual LGBTQ+ Summit on Friday, October 24th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. Doors open at 8:00 am. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. RSVP required, though there are few tickets left; you can sign up here. Panels have not been posted yet.

I made this event mainly so that I could spread the word, gather a group if there was interest to check out panels together, and to see if there was anyone who wanted to carpool together—I myself am about a 30+ minute commute from Morgan Hill. Initial travel discussions, if relevant, may be made in the comments, through cell, Discord or whatever platform works best for you all. Here & Queer has a Discord in which you may discuss this event and others, if comfortable; I am linking it here. If you all would like to get dinner together afterwards that is something we could discuss as well.

I set the attendee limit at 5 as that is what I am most comfortable with, but if you’re not able to secure a Meetup spot, I highly suggest you still attend the summit.

The County’s theme this year is TOGETHER, WE RISE.
Together, We Rise centers Coalition Building — the art and practice of coming together across diverse identities, communities, and movements to create lasting change. Our theme celebrates the strength that emerges when we unite voices, experiences, and resources to confront challenges and advance equity for all.
Throughout the Summit, participants will engage in keynotes, discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and deepen connections within the LGBTQ+ and allied communities. Together, we’ll explore how building inclusive coalitions can break down barriers, amplify marginalized voices, and promote our collective resilience.
Join us as we harness the power of solidarity.
