Building a full stack chat application on AWS

Join us for a presentation which covers how to build and deploy a full stack chat based application on AWS Amplify, using the new "AI Kit". If you are interested in how to build full stack applications on the AWS platform, curious how chat applications work under the hood, or anywhere in between, you won't want to miss this opportunity.

During our presentation we'll review the anatomy of a chat based application, how AWS Amplify can be used to build full stack applications, and how to develop, test, and deploy applications using Amplify's built in CI/CD pipeline. Technologies used will include:

• AWS Amplify "Gen 2"
• React
• Next.JS
• Github
• Amazon Bedrock
• Anthropic Claude
• VS Code

At the end of this presentation you will have basic familiarity with Amplify "Gen 2" and the "code first" developer experience, leveraging Next.JS, a typescript based React framework for Javascript, and how to quickly dive into full stack development using AWS. Source code will be provided so you can replicate this project and build upon it yourself.

This event will be in-person (6:00-8:00pm). We allow plenty of time for networking before the presentation (6:00-6:30pm) with Q&A and more networking afterwards (7:30-8:00pm). Online participants, please arrive on Zoom by 6:30pm for the presentation.
