Mount Madonna: Ridge Trail, Camp Trail, Merry Go Round Loop (3.9mi 830ft)

Please Note: Start time on meetup has been moved up to 8:45am AND we will start the hike from the Horse Trailers sign (see event cover image) promptly at 9:00am. Moved up start time because a large section of the uphill trail at the beginning is not shaded. You will thank me later for the earlier start time.

Starting from the Ridge trailhead off Blackhawk Canyon Road very close to the intersection with Hwy 152, let's hike at Mount Madonna County Park, enjoy nature, make new friends and enjoy conversation. Please bring water, light snacks if needed, and sun protection (hat and/or sunscreen). Dogs on leash ARE ALLOWED on the trail we will be taking.

Generally considered a moderately challenging route due to the 830 feet of elevation gain mostly on the first half of the loop, it takes an average of 2 hours to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and horseback riding. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
