UCSC- The same but different...
Details
This week we're going to ride a combination of UCSC and Wilder Ranch. Our meeting location will be right in front of the Santa Cruz bike factory showroom. The initial leg of our ride will take us up Arroyo Secco Canyon trail all the way to UCSC. From there we will climb through campus and make our way up to the water tanks and down into the HWY 9 side of the mountain. Our ride will then continue back up to some fun singletrack that will lead us across Empire Grade and down to Wood Cutter in Wilder. The next segment will be a long decent on singletrack down to the Wilder Ranch visitor's area. We will jump on the HWY 1 bike trail and ride back to our start point. There will be various bail-out points for those with limited time or limited legs.
- Please be aware that mountain biking can be dangerous.
- Always ride within your ability.
- WALK ALL TRAIL SECTIONS YOU'RE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH!
- All riders must wear a helmet.
- Gloves, hydration packs/bottles, snacks, sunscreen, insect repellant, spare tubes and a multitool are also a good idea.
