Tomales Bluff Hike

Synopsis: The bells toll as bay meets sea at land's end on a leisurely paced 10 miles - 1000 ft elevation gain hike along the moors of the northern tip of Point Reyes.

If you wish to hike fast and get back early, this is not the hike for you. Mellow hikers welcomed.

Meet: 11:00 AM at McClure's Beach parking lot. Return to cars approximately 6PM.

Bring: lunch, liquids, and warm layered clothing(it gets foggy and windy at the point).

Directions: Take HWY 101 to Central San Rafael exit. Go left on Third Street and follow road through San Rafael and San Anselmo until it merges with Sir Francis Drake. Bear right at junction and follow Sir Francis Drake to end in Olema. Go right on HWY 1 approximately one mile to road to Inverness (watch for sign). Drive through Inverness (road becomes Sir Francis Drake) to Pierce Point Road. Go right on Pierce Point Road to end at trailhead.

Carpool: Recommend attendees organize their own carpools where it is convenient for them.

Cancellation: Any rain cancels.
