This is an eleven mile / nearly 2000 ft elevation day hike in Sunol Regional Wilderness. Rated a long 3B. Moderate to leisurely pace (average 2 miles per hour). Enjoy spectacular views of San Antonio reservoir, Mt. Diablo, and Mission Peak. If you are the type of hiker who likes to go fast, take minimal short breaks, and get back early, this is not the hike for you. Mellow hikers are especially welcome.

Return to cars: approx. 6:00pm.

Cancellation: Any rain cancels.

Cost: $5 Parking fee.
Bring: lunch, liquids, and well-fitting boots.

Masks are not required for this hike but you are welcome to wear one if doing so makes you feel more comfortable.

Meet: 9:30 AM at Sunol Visitor Center.

Directions: Take Hwy 680 to the Calaveras Rd exit in Sunol. Turn south on Calaveras Rd to Geary Rd. following signs to Sunol Regional Wilderness. Go left on Geary to the park entrance.

Carpools: I recommend arranging your own carpools where it is convenient for you.
