Henry Cowell Observation Deck Loop 5.3 miles, 757 feet

Henry Cowell Observation Deck Loop offers four diverse habitats: grasslands, river/riparian, sandhills, and redwoods. On this route, we will see old-growth redwoods and panoramic ocean views. Some sections have a moderate difficulty level with high steps and elevation gain. The trail features redwoods, a riverside trail, and a ridge line. Hiking boots are recommended in case of muddy and slippery conditions, especially near the river. 5.3 miles, 757 feet elevation gain.
