Saturday, September 26, we'll be volunteering at a farm in Pajaro / Watsonville with Second Harvest of Santa Cruz County to gather produce on the farm, so local residents can get more food! Our gathering of produce on the farm is called "gleaning": on farms in Santa Cruz County and nearby areas, thanks to the generosity of many farmers, many vegetables and fruits can be gathered to feed residents locally. By our group coming to gather what remains on farms after commercially-focused harvests, we can help feed more people in our community!
We will also gather afterwards for some lunch and drinks nearby in Watsonville!
