FREE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHT: ASTROLOGICAL POOL AND THE MONEY SHOT: ANGLES AND ASPECTS
Astrology is more than just Sun signs and planets. More important than those are the aspects—or angles—that the planets make to one another. The configurations might remind you of a racked set of billiard balls being broken apart in a “break shot.” One ball hits another—sometimes balls hit more than one—and the spheres scatter at perfect angles across the table. A very skilled player knows just where to hit and how hard to make the balls split apart in just the way he or she wants—and even, sometimes, on rare occasions, to sink them all at once in the various pockets. In order to truly understand astrology and one’s own horoscope, one must lean about the angles between the birth planets—and then, in addition, the angles that the planets in the heavens make right now and how the two “break shots” relate to one another at a given moment. Those who claim there is no correlation between the two configurations have clearly not studied either natal (birth chart) astrology or mundane (everyday) astrology. There are also other angles often ignored in astrology, such as right ascension and declination. The planets do not revolve on a completely flat plane, as we imagine, or even as we picture on a horoscope. Angles show up in other places in our lives, in DNA and molecular structure. The word “structure’ here is important. Astrology can provide a solid foundational hypothesis for the structure of our lives. Tonight, in Friday Night Light, we will look at aspects and angles.
