# The Inner Science of Meditation
All of us, moment by moment, are experiencing our world through the power of our mind. But what is our mind and how does it function? Through gaining an understanding of our own mind, we will learn how to recognize and abandon states of mind that harm us and to replace them with peaceful and beneficial ones.
In this series we will use the text How to Understand the Mind by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. This is an extraordinary book – both practical and profound. It offers a deep insight into our mind and shows how an understanding of its nature and functions can be used practically in everyday experience to improve our lives.
Everyone is welcome to take part in any or all of the classes in this series.
