Trip Report: Hiking in the Serra Tramuntana

Details
This Meetup of another local group may be of interest to you if you enjoy traveling for hiking. The "Los Alamos & Santa Fe People Who Love to Travel Meetup" is a group that is interested in a broad range of travel interests, but will likely have offerings focused on hiking opportunities. Please consider joining that group at https://www.meetup.com/Los-Alamos-Santa-Fe-People-Who-Love-to-Travel-Meetup if you are interested in travel.
The June 2 event is a trip report on Mallorca, Spain, hiking, and Hut-to-Hut Trekking in the Serra Tramuntana:
"Mallorca is a beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea with a long history, interesting culture, and great climate.
The Serra de Tramuntana is a mountain range that forms a spine across the length of the island. The GR221, one of Spain's long-range hiking routes takes a highline through these beautiful mountains and trekkers are served by a series of huts (refugi's) and scenic villages along its length. The Tramuntanas are a UNESCO World Heritage Site for their significance as a cultural landscape. Kevin Holsapple will share photographs and experiences from his hikes and multi-day trek.
Learn about what it is like to trek hut-to-hut and what it's like to hike in beautiful Mallorca. RSVP at https://www.meetup.com/Los-Alamos-Santa-Fe-People-Who-Love-to-Travel-Meetup/events/230793290/
