What we’re about
Two things make us unique from normal pickleball- we are social and recreational (we do not take the sport that seriously). I have played and ran Pickleball for 8 years and I have found 2 types of players:
1st type- is 'best practices' players who go to the net (all 4 players are near each other- volleying back and forth); that is the 'best' way to play, for sure if your goal is to win.
2nd type- of player (like myself) likes 'baseline' play or doing 'whatever comes to mind' getting the ball back (we just play, we are not using 'best practices' meaning we are not pushing up close to the net every play- every point... we just play).
This 2nd type of play- is great for brand new players and for people who are more social and recreational and cannot take Pickleball that serious, at least to start... We anticipate that if you join this, group, 50% of you will 'stay' and 50% will find their way over to more normal/serious pickleball.
We will be playing on Saturdays &/or Sundays (as laid out on this Meetup) at 1:30pm or 230pm- at a cost of around $22. Typically after we play, players might meet up (optionally) at the Irish bar- a block away (to be determined). Thanks.
