Salvation Army Parking Lot Cleanup, Sun Dec 7th - 2pm to 5pm

Hello friends! The Trash Pandas are collaborating on a cleanup for a future Safe Parking lot at the Salvation Army store at 1202 Camino Carlos Rey.

The parking lot will be a safe place where unhoused individuals who are living in their cars can park overnight.

The Safe Parking team and Salvation Army staff will be cleaning up the Thrift Store grounds and parking lot on Sunday, December 7th from 2-5 pm. We’ll be removing trash, pruning vegetation, removing weeds, and identifying any bigger repairs that are needed.

Plan on bringing gloves, sun protection, sturdy shoes. We will also have loaner gloves, grabbers, buckets and bags, Since part of the cleanup will also involve pruning vegetation, if you have a particular clean-up tool you’d like to bring, e.g. a weed-eater (battery powered), clippers, etc. that could come in handy! We’ll have water and snacks.
