Invasive Weed Removal on the River Trail - Sat March 14th, 9am to noon

Hello fellow weeding enthusiasts!

It's time for another big weed removal project! Please join us in helping to restore our river trail and river corridor by removing invasive species. This time we will be focusing mainly on Kochia as well as some Russian Thistle. This is a great opportunity to learn about invasive species and how to identify them.

We will meet at Ricardo Bridge on the River Trail. It's just up from where Ricardo Rd dead ends (please do not park on Ricardo Rd as there is no parking) - please park on Santa Fe River Rd near La Joya St. (see map pin below), where there is plenty of parking, and from there walk up the river trail just a short distance..

Please bring your favorite weeding tools, hat. gloves and water. And bring a hard rake if you have one. I'll have some loaner gloves, tools, buckets, tarps and rakes. Please come for as long as you'd like, no need to stay for the entire 3 hours.
