Note: Proper conditioning and physical preparation are recommended, including endurance training and some experience with high-altitude trekking. The trek involves several days of hiking for approximately 5 to 7 hours a day, with elevations reaching over 4,600 meters (15,000 feet) at the highest points, such as the Salkantay Pass.
