McMenemy Trail + San Ysidro Creek & Trail

For this trip, we would team up with another group coming from Ventura and hike the McMenemy Trail, after that split up with the group and continue to explore San Ysidro Creek and Trail.

San Ysidro Creek & Trail is relatively scenic. However, I am not sure about McMenemy Trail. The last time I hiked there was in the dark with a headlight. Presumably it is quite scenic also.

Trailhead: San Ysidro Trailhead

Distance & Climb: up to 8 mile, 2000’

Experience & Skill: uneven terrain hiking, creek traverse, bush whacking

Ability: assess and manage risks effectively

Physical & Mental: healthy & fit for hiking & exploring adventure

Personality & Character: authentic, sincere, down to earth, cordial and pleasant to chat with, effective in communicating

Mindset: adventurous yet very safety conscious, self responsible & self accountable, intellectually curious, independent thinking, open-minded worldview
