Zaca Peak Hike & Explore, via Zaca Ridge Rd, off Figueroa Mountain Rd
Details
We will team up with another group led by a friend, Andrea. Andrea’s group is doing a 8-10 mile hike on Zaca Ridge Rd. Tentatively, I plan to hike the first 4-5 miles with the group, then split with the group and continue on to explore Zaca Peak. I expect some amount of bush whacking adventure, trying to get to Zaca Peak. Long pants and long sleeves are recommended. According to Alltrails, this area has beautiful views of the Santa Ynez Valley. And Andrea wrote this area has beautiful views of the back country of the San Rafael Wilderness. I have been to Grass Mountain many times, and thought about hiking to Zaca Peak from Grass Mountain in the past.
