Santa Barbara Scenic Coastline & Waterfront, Full Moon Hike & Explore

Santa Barbara’s Waterfront is one of the most scenic and vibrant in the world. It would be fun to explore this beautiful area by walking for fitness. On this trip, we would explore Shoreline Park, Leadbetter Beach, Marina, Harbor Seawall Walk, Stearns Wharf, Fishing Pier, E Cabrillo Blvd, East Beach Park, and back to Shoreline Park. Tentatively, lunch or dinner somewhere along the route, at Santa Barbara Fish Market, Shellfish Company, or other suggestions. Part of the walk will be in full moon at night.

To participate, you must be fully aware and alert at all times in urban traffic with moving vehicles, bikers, skaters, etc. You are self responsible and self accountable for your own safety at all times.

Trailhead: Shoreline Park West Parking Lot

Distance: up to 12 mile

Experience & Skill: casual to fast pace 4 mph walking, trail running

Ability: assess and manage risks effectively, carry on meaningful conversation

Supply & Equipment: adequate hydration, food, reliable headlamp and windbreaker/ down jacket

Physical & Mental: healthy & fit for strenuous hiking & exploring adventure, mentally & emotionally sound

Personality & Character: upright, authentic, sincere, down to earth, enthusiastic, cheerful, good sense of humor, cordial and pleasant to chat with, effective in communicating

Mindset: adventurous yet very safety conscious, self responsible & self accountable, intellectually curious, independent thinking, open-minded worldview, consistent self improvement & can do attitude
