Grass Mountain is one of the most scenic and amazing places to see vibrant spring wild flowers, especially during super blooms: California poppy, lupin, mustard, morning glory, wild hyacinth, shooting star, etc. Below are a few photos from my Spring 2025 Hike.

This is going to be an adventurous and relatively challenging hike, with scrambling, up to 45 degree steep incline and decline, wild, pristine, and lots of bush & wilderness traverse. A hiking pole might be useful on the steep descent.

Going up via Grass Mountain Trail, then bush traverse to Zaca Peak Trail; descend via wilderness traverse through Coulter Pine Ridge, then High Country Trail, and Maple Canyon Trail.
