Tidepools, Sea Caves, Lagoon & Sand Dune Exploring @ Surf Beach

Surf Beach tide forecast for Dec 5 is negative 1.7’ at around 4:14pm, which is relatively very low. This is a great opportunity to explore the pristine tidepools in this area. I expect to see lots of rock mussel beds, anemones, crabs, sea snails, hermit crabs, blennies, small rock fish, urchins, turban snails, starfishes, limpets, occasional abalones, and many species of sea plants. I also plan to explore a few pristine sea caves and scenic sand dunes in the vicinity, beach combing for beautiful polished stones, and photographing seabirds at Ocean Park Lagoon & Estuary. This should be an afternoon of exciting activities and fascinating things to see and explore.
