Tentatively, I plan to do this hike with SLO Sierra Club, organized by a friend Andrea, going to Gaviota Wind Caves & Freeway 101 Overlook, etc.

I did this hike two months ago, and enjoyed the wind caves, boulder climbing, and freeway overlook, with panoramic views of the traffic 600’ below, and the Pacific Ocean.

Boulder climbing on this hike is optional. For anyone that is eager to learn, I may be able to help.

Distance & Climb: up to 9 mile, 1200’

Experience & Skill: uneven terrain hiking & exploring

Supply & Equipment: proper & adequate nourishment, windbreaker as needed for potential cold windy condition

Physical & Mental: healthy & fit for hiking & exploring adventure, mentally & emotionally sound

Personality & Character: upright, authentic, sincere, down to earth, cheerful, pleasant to chat with, respectful, thoughtful, effective in communicating

Mindset: adventurous yet very safety conscious, self responsible & self accountable, intellectually curious, independent thinking, open-minded worldview, collaborative & can do attitude
