How to Manage Challenges in a Reading

Xavier Delon will lead a discussion about how to manage occasional challenges that arise in reading for others i.e.:

• No question? No problem! How do you read when your client won’t talk?
• You are drawing a blank on what spread to use or what the spread is saying
• Your client poses a question, but you know that it is not the true question or is a test.
• The client is argumentative or otherwise hostile
• The client is embarrassed about an issue that they have come to you about
• The client tells you that your reading “does not resonate” or a similar response
• The client wants to have their girlfriend, partner, spouse, relative or others present with them at the reading.

Xavier Delon is a scholar and intuitive tarot practitioner whose work explores the intersections of ancient ritual, erotic magic, and the symbolic language of tarot. Drawing from the cultic traditions of the Aphrodisian Mysteries, the rites of the Erotikon, and the textual and material legacy of Hellenistic love practices, his readings weave emotional intuition with tarot symbolism to illuminate modern questions of love, identity, and the inner path.

If we have time we will read for each other and guests. Bring your questions and we will provide inspired answers. Are you new to reading cards or unsure? No worries; we will show you how! Anyone, including guests, who has a question will write it down on a slip of paper. The questions can be anonymous. We will shuffle the questions face down and each person who wants to read for questions will get one or more of them. Please bring guests and questions important to you. Guidance will be provided, and participation is encouraged, but is optional.

We will meet at the Center of the Heart in the main Sanctuary. This is a great meeting space filled with high spiritual energy and lots of parking!

Bring your favorite decks. I will have a few spare decks for anyone needing one.

Do you have a friend or partner who would like a reading? Bring them along with an extra $5! Guests are extremely welcome! Just indicate the number of guests you are bringing when you RSVP.
