Bachata is an easy and popular part of the LA dance scene and is danced worldwide as well. Bachata has now become ingrained in Southern California social culture. Perfect for weddings and parties as a go-to, no matter what is being played. Salsa clubs always mix in Bachata and we always play Bachata at our dance socials.

Co-hosted by the /City of Santa Clarita- you must sign up online through the "Santa Clarita Seasons" website to enroll.

This dance course develops basic steps and simple patterns for partner dancing- and leads directly into intermediate techniques.

Bachata has recently evolved into several genres- social, Dominican, and sensual. We primarily teach the social style. Intermediate dancers will be introduced to Dominican footwork and techniques. We do not teach "the sensual style" as this deviates from the traditional purpose of Bachata, which is originally a style for the shy and polite.

This is a partner dance, but for class, no partner is required. We use partner rotation to expand experience and skill techniques, but couples who do not wish to rotate may stay together.

If you are unsure if you are a Beginner or an Intermediate, audit the Beginner class at 6:30 and maybe take the Intermediate class at 7:45. Before the second week, you can enroll in the appropriate class.

Flat-soled, non-textured-bottomed shoes are helpful. Don't buy dance shoes for this casual style.
