Weekly Wednesday Night surf meetup STARTING UP WEDNESDAY MAY 7TH

Surf at 26th Street Manhattan Beach by Bruce's Beach (MEET IN THE WATER), then head over to Sharkeez Manhattan Beach nearby for food and drinks.

We usually have a deal with Sharkeez to give us 2 for 1 drinks, along with a potential free taco platter/pitchers depending on the day. TBD to see what they give us this year but it'll probably be similar.

There's a metered parking lot off 26th Street and Manhattan Ave that usually has plenty of parking on Wednesday evenings. The lot is across the street to Bruce's Beach park, so if you look up Bruce's Beach on the map you'll see the parking lot just West of it.

Most people arrive between 6-6:45, but some people come earlier and some come later depending on traffic and when they get off work so we just meet in the water.

There's usually not a lot of people out there on Wednesday evenings, so if you walk out directly to the beach by the 26th street lifeguard tower and see a group of people surfing together it's most likely us.

Often times there's a current and we will drift north or south, so just be aware that we may not be directly in front of 26th but if you walk out from there you'll be able to easily spot us.

Be aware that the parking lot technically closes at 8 and they'll sometimes give tickets. As long as you get to your car by 8 you're totally fine and usually they're not strict about giving tickets right at 8 but just be aware.

Annual SMS summer beach day!

Come join us for a day of sun, surf, snacks and everything else that makes summer the best. All are welcome, whether you surf or not, so feel free to bring friends and family.

WHAT TO BRING: Snacks/Drinks to share, chair or beach blanket, umbrella or sun hat, any beach activities (volleyball, frisbee, etc) you may have. And of course your board if you want to surf.

LOCATION:
Torrance Beach. We will set up an EZ-up and hang our SMS banner somewhere near the restrooms at the bottom of the ramp from the parking lot.

For mapping purposes, there's a Perry's cafe next to the restrooms that you can put into your phone. Perry's has since closed, but it will still show up on Google and Apple maps.

PARKING:
There is a large paid parking lot right next to the beach. If you get there early enough you may also be able to find street parking.

TIME: 10am to 4pm officially but free to come and go as you wish. Some people will probably get there earlier to surf or stay later.

DUES: All our events are free, we just have an annual 10 dollar dues used to maintain our meetup membership fees. You can either venmo @kevdude or pay cash in person.
