Curious about sailing? Want to try getting out on the ocean with friends? Thinking about lessons? Are you a Santana Sailing alum looking for more time on the water? Join us on our next sail.
Our purpose is to get you sailing on the ocean whether you're brand new, have some experience, or just need your sailing fix. Have fun, meet like minded people, and learn how to help run the boat. You can hoist the sails and trim, steer a course, tune up your skills, learn something new, or just relax. Santana Sailing alumni - get more Skipper time by running the boat with coaching from the instructor!
You should join if you're wondering what sailing is really all about or if you just want more time on the water. I'm a professional sailing and cruising instructor, and I run Santana Sailing School. You're bound to learn something on these Meetup Sails.
On our events we avoid motoring and sail whenever we have the wind. We invite crew to help hoist sail, steer, trim the sails, and learn about how to further their interest in sailing. We invite you to BYO snacks and drinks. Wine and beer are OK, but NO Red Wine Please. The emphasis is fun, socializing, and learning as we sail on the ocean and inside the harbor, and experience tugboats, barges, and tankers and container ships coming and going. It's pretty cool!
