On the chance it's a rainy day, there's a William Turner exhibition on here now so that should be interesting. We'll meet in the Gallery Café in the National Gallery of Ireland at 11am, This is in the Millennium Wing, which is accessed from the Clare Street entrance to the National Gallery of Ireland. We'll return to the Café for dinner and a chat after the exhibition.

Our inaugural walk, this is a lovely, easy walk on the flat along the Vartry Reservoir outside Roundwood. There are three sections: Lower Vartry (7.9km); Upper Vartry (6.4km); Woodland Trail (3.3km) so 17.6km if we do it all but there's no pressure. We'll then head into Roundwood where there are many traditional nice pubs with good food, fires and the like for a good conversation. The Coachhouse and the Roundwood Inn are two of my favourites. Everybody welcome.

Today we'll walk Dublin's second largest park, St Anne's Park between Clontarf and Raheny (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Anne%27s_Park).

We'll meet at 11am at the Phoenix Café next to Ashtown Castle in the Phoenix Park. There's a car park next to the Castle.

The walk is a very straightforward 12.6km around the perimiter of the Phoenix Park. It's mostly on the flat, with a couple of glens - most spectacularly the Furry Glen- so most people should be able for it. It should take 2.5-3 hours and we'll get a bite to eat in the Phoenix Café at the end.
