Join our Sapphic Writing Body Doubling!

What is Body Doubling?
It is a productivity technique where a person works alongside someone else, to stay focused and motivated.

Our aim is to create a safe space for sapphic people to foster creativity, encourage self-expression, a sense of community, discover new ideas, accountability, share your work, and receive supportive and constructive feedback from fellow participants.

General set up:
Limit of 10 sapphic individuals.
You do not need to attend the Sunday monthly prompt based meet up to join this event! You can write whatever you'd like :)
There is no assignment for this meet up. You can work on your work in progress (WIP).

This event will utilize writing sprints: 40 minutes writing and then 10 minute breaks to discuss writing/bounce ideas or simply socialize!

No prior writing experience is necessary – all skill levels are welcome.
Bring your favorite notebook, pen, or laptop, and let your imagination run wild.

Registration is required to attend the Sapphic Creative Writing Group Events.

Sapphic Writing Body Doubling will be a Virtual monthly reoccurring event, stay tuned for additonal dates! Happy Writing!

Location: Marietta.
Writing Prompts to pick from for this meeting (You can write all, but only choose one to share):

1. You have a life altering premonition. What do you do with it?
2. The day you found out you had super powers.
3. LGBTQ+ coming out story

I will provide a google drive where you can add your story to. I will send the link closer to the date of meeting/in comments as well. if you prefer, you may print your stories (10 copies). I will be providing pens and notecards for feedback.

*Please note: It's okay if you didn't finish the story! You can still come and share what you have for feedback*

Also, we will be grabbing dinner after the group meet ups - this is optional to join, location is TBD.

Our aim is to create a safe space for sapphic people to foster creativity, encourage self-expression, and a sense of community, discover new ideas, share your work, and receive supportive and constructive feedback from fellow participants.

General set up:
This will be a monthly Sunday meet up of 3 hours.
Limit of 15 sapphic individuals.

First 2 hours will be sharing work inspired by a creative short story writing prompt and receiving feedback. The final hour will be writing time/or getting started on the next prompt for the next meeting, or sharing other writing projects outside of prompt.

We encourage short stories to be 500-3,000 words maximum. Poetry/other forms of writing is welcome just as long as it's prompt related :)

No prior writing experience is necessary – all skill levels are welcome.
Bring your favorite notebook, pen, or laptop, and let your imagination run wild.

Please RSVP and arrive in a timely manner.
There will be a 30-45 minute grace period at 1PM for introductions, chatting, getting coffee, etc.

We will be sharing work inspired by a creative short story writing prompt and receiving feedback.

We encourage short stories to be 250-2500 words maximum.

Poetry/other forms of writing are welcome just as long as it's prompt related :)

Your story does not have to be finished to attend.
