Welcome one and all to the 22nd anniversary of the Sarasota Medieval Fair with exciting tournaments, scrumptious feasts & pure fun!

Witness the arrival of fierce Norse raiders, legendary explorers, and fearless seafarers as Vikings and pirates alike descend upon the Woods of Mallaranny. Enjoy thrilling combat demonstrations, maritime music, themed contests, roaming characters, and tales of distant lands across stormy seas. Whether you come clad as a Viking warrior, shieldmaiden, pirate captain, or daring adventurer, prepare for a weekend of epic battles, bold exploration, and seafaring revelry worthy of legend!

PARKING: The festival has a lot of parking space and parking is FREE!

MEETUP TIME AND LOCATION:
Plan to meet between 9:15-9:30 AM in front of the main gate for a quick meet and greet. Look for Lucas, your host, dressed as a pirate or a barbarian/Viking holding a large red dragon Viking banner (see photos below). The Opening Gate Show starts at 9:45 AM and we will enter right after the show. For those that come late and want to find us, the tentative schedule is below. Be on the lookout for the red dragon banner!

SCHEDULE (TENTATIVE - AWAITING 2026 SCHEDULE RELEASE):
9:15-9:30 AM: Meet at front gate. Find the red dragon banner!
9:45 AM: Opening Gate Show
10:00 AM: Enter the Fair together.
10:00 AM-11:15 AM: Walk around and go see, hold, and feed the animals (they are lively and hungry in the morning).
11:30 AM: Washing Well Wenches Show
12:15-12:45 PM: Lunch and Head Over to Jousting to reserve seating and eat lunch together.
1:00 PM: Full Contact Jousting
2:30 PM: Birds of Prey Show
3:30-5:30 PM: Free time, leave early, etc.
5:30: Closing Farewell
This schedule is tentative and subject to change. I am putting it out there in case anyone comes late and wants to try and find us at the Fair. Everyone is free to wander off from the group at any time if there are other shows or activities you wish to do or if you want to leave early. There should be plenty of free time throughout the day to stop by vendors and participate in activities, as you like. If anyone makes it to the end and would like to hang out after the Fair, we can go out to dinner.

COSTUMES:
Costumes are strongly encouraged! Most people at the fair dress up and it really adds to the experience. Our weekend is "high seas" so think pirates and Vikings! You are welcome to wear medieval costumes suitable for a family-friendly atmosphere to get into the spirit of the festival! However, costumes should be in keeping with the medieval era theme of the festival. Please refrain from wearing futuristic or sci-fi related costumes that are not in keeping with the theme of the festival. If you bring weapons, they must be peace-tied.

WEAPONS:
Weapons of any kind, including guns, are prohibited. However, if your costume includes a sword, or dagger it may be permissible as long as these decorative weapons are properly sheathed and peace-tied.
