June Series: Dealing with Difficult Emotions
June 2 - 23
Gain confidence to deal with challenging emotions like anxiety, fear, frustration, and depression. By understanding what precisely these mindsets are and how they function, we will be able to see where they come from internally. Once we understand this, we can learn how to adjust our thinking to more wisely and effectively work with these states of mind.

Come to any or all classes, Everyone is Welcome!
Our weekly meetings are on a drop in basis, and we have a really nice group of people attending regularly. A trademark of the meditations we emphasize is the ease in which they can be used both “on the cushion” and in our daily lives. Each meeting will include practical, guided meditation, and a talk on how to reduce stress and other problems encountered in daily life, and how to increase mental and physical well-being. There will also be plenty of time to discuss the ideas presented.
Although the meditations and talks are based on Kadampa Buddhist philosophy, you don't need to be a Buddhist to enjoy this group. Kadampa Buddhism stresses a spiritual path of individual transformation and to look within ourselves for the inner peace and happiness we seek. Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you soon!
In each class, we will look at some facet of understanding the source of our anger and irritation and how to move towards a happier way of living. There will be plenty of time to meditate and quiet our busy mind down so we can look at the situations of our life more clearly, and practical tools that we can immediately utilize day-to-day. We will leave this series understanding how to have a flexible, happy mind even in an often troubling world. Everyone welcome!
