La Escuela SaRGaM Madrid abre sus puertas a todos los amantes de la música india y del arte del raga. Nuestros conciertos llamados "Baithak Night" son encuentros íntimos y auténticos dedicados al universo del Hindustani Classical Music, donde exploramos la profundidad emocional y espiritual de los ragas, la riqueza del tala y la tradición viva de la improvisación.
En cada presentación es también explicamos los fundamentos del sistema musical del norte de India, los modos melódicos, el desarrollo emocional de la pieza y la interacción con la tabla

The SaRGaM Madrid School opens its doors to all lovers of Indian music and the art of the raga. Our concerts, called "Baithak Night," are intimate and authentic gatherings dedicated to the world of Hindustani Classical Music, where we explore the emotional and spiritual depth of the ragas, the richness of the tala, and the living tradition of improvisation.
In each performance, we also explain the fundamentals of the North Indian musical system, the melodic modes, the emotional development of the piece, and the interaction with the tabla.
If you are interested in learning this art, deepening your mindful listening, or simply discovering new sounds within world music, these concerts are an ideal space to get closer, ask questions, and be part of a community dedicated to the study and practice of the raga.

Los músicos Pablo Ecos (Argentina) distinguido sitarista descendiente del linaje "Maihar Gharana" de Ravi Shankar / Krishna Chakravarty y actual discípulo de Sahana Banerjee a, junto a Manuel Buján (España) Inició sus estudios en tabla con Raavi Tripathi, en Benares, India, y actualmente con Jorge Lozano y de Navaraj Gurung.Ambos nos brindarán una experiencia musical única durante la Baithak Night (sentada de amantes de la música india). La actuación destacará principalmente un instrumento melódico de cuerdas, el sitar, y un instrumento de acompañamiento rítmico, la tabla, representando así la forma más tradicional de la música del norte de India.
La música de la India se revela como un retrato del comportamiento universal y la armonía que convergen en sí misma. Los rāgas, imponentes sistemas musicales observados por el Gandharva Veda, gobiernan diversos períodos del día, influyendo directamente en la psiquis y los humores humanos. Estos se componen meticulosamente mediante intervalos musicales precisos llamados shrutis o microtonos, generando una gama de sentimientos que proporcionan al oyente una transformación positiva en su campo sutil. SaRGaM Madrid presents "Baithak Night" (a gathering of Indian music lovers)
Musicians Pablo Ecos (Argentina), a distinguished sitar player descended from the "Maihar Gharana" lineage of Ravi Shankar/Krishna Chakravarty and a current disciple of Sahana Banerjee, along with Manuel Buján (Spain), who began his tabla studies with Raavi Tripathi in Varanasi, India, and currently studies with Jorge Lozano and Navaraj Gurung.Both will provide us with a unique musical experience during Baithak Night (a gathering of Indian music lovers). The performance will primarily feature a melodic stringed instrument, the sitar, and a rhythmic accompaniment instrument, the tabla, thus representing the most traditional form of North Indian music.
Indian music reveals itself as a portrait of universal behavior and the harmony that converges within itself. The ragas, magnificent musical systems observed in the Gandharva Veda, govern different periods of the day, directly influencing the human psyche and moods. These are meticulously composed using precise musical intervals called shrutis or microtones, generating a range of feelings that provide the listener with a positive transformation in their subtle energy field. In fact, the raga system is the primary source of music therapy.
Ayurveda, on the other hand, is a system that recognizes the constitutional type of mind and body, understanding that each being is born with their own natural balance that influences all aspects of life, including body, mind, and emotions.
