Saskatoon Book Club For Non Fiction Books - Coffee/Bar Group

This is the last chance to register for the Freedom 55 Social Circle Meetup which is being held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 7:30 PM at The Thirsty Scholar.
Freedom 55 group is aimed at people who are retired; or, who are planning on retiring; or, people who could be retired but don’t plan on retiring anytime soon.
My thinking is that there is a large group of individuals that would be in these categories and that some of them would like to expand their social circle by getting together for a drink and to discuss some of the issues that are relevant to this stage of life.
Some of the categories for these discussions might be things like the following:
• Cooking
• Travelling
• Exercising
• Gardening
• Working
• Relaxing
• Discussing Interesting Things
• Etc.
So, let’s get together to have a pint and to discuss some general topics that the attendees find of interest (and to have some fun). Maybe we can pick our favorite topics from the above list.

The next book that the Saskatoon Book Club For Non Fiction Books - Coffee/Bar Group will be reading will be Using No. 2 to Get to No. 1: The Shockingly Insightful, Full-of-Crap Self-Help Book by Angela Jamieson. We will then be meeting at The Thirsty Scholar on 8th Street on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 7:30 PM to discuss this book.
This will be a slightly different event than our usual Book Club Meeting, mainly because we will have a Special Guest, the author Angela Jamieson will be joining us. Angela is from Saskatoon and will be joining us to discuss the book, or the writing of it, or anything else that we may want to talk about.
