Hike @ Eb's Trails

Let's hike the Eb's trails, approximately 15kms. Easy/intermediate level. There are a few hills but nothing like Sask. Landing!

Bring a bag lunch as well as light snacks to munch on throughout the day. After the hike: stop at Jake's Burgers in Hague for supper. This is an all-day event.

About Eb's Trails:
Eb's Trails lend themselves to great hiking. Located just 17kms north of Duck Lake (1 hour north of Saskatoon), Eb's Trails are unique in that they form part of the transforming landscape from prairie to forest. This makes for some gorgeous scenery.

Weather in June is hot, and while we will be hiking under the cover of trees, this means lots of mosquitoes, so be prepared. Also consider bringing sun block, lip balm, and sunglasses.

Clothing: merino wool or synthetic fibre is ideal. Stay away from cotton as it becomes heavy when soaked with sweat. The ground should be mostly dry but there are a couple bog/muddy areas so you should wear hiking shoes/boots.

Hiking poles are not necessary but some people find them helpful.

We will carpool together, passengers pay for fuel. Meet @ Timmy's in Lawson Heights at 8:15am. We'll need about 4 cars for the trip - please leave a comment if you're able to drive.
