Grey Owls Cabin Family Group Hike

Let's try again to hike to Grey Owls Cabin. Providing the fires are under control, we will head up to Prince Albert National Park on Saturday morning. Planning to be at the Park Visitor Center at around 230. We will purchase our permits and drive to the trailhead. Should be on the trail by 4pm. We will hike 4kms in to the Westwind group campsite. Setup our tents up and have a relaxing evening. There is a beautiful beach there to swim.
Sunday morning we will pack our gear and hike 14kms to the Northend campsite. We can then set up our camp and then hike another 4kms, round trip to the cabin and back.
Monday morning we will pack up again and hike back 14kms to the Westwind campsite for the night.
Tuesday morning we will pack uo and have a short 4km hike out and drive home. Possibly stopping as a group for a meal either in Waskesiu or Elk Ridge.

Permit Fees are $13.50/night/person and $10/night/site for fire permit. So budget for around $50/person for permits.
Gear to bring: Backpack, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, water filter system, water bottle, cookstove, cooking pot or kettle, proper layering system of clothes for all weather conditions; ie:rain and cool, proper footwear, for on the trail as well as a pair at camp, food for 3 nights and 4 days on the trail, bear spray, bug spray, sunscreen, hiking poles, hat, bug jacket and/or hood.
