Expert Cards and Coffee (5:30-7:30 pm) (refresher given)

Calling all card lovers-from beginner to expert- who enjoy visiting and playing. We will be playing the whist game of Shelem. (4 player partner) This is expert as without good strategy you lose badly especially as you need to learn how to bid BUT it is easy to play. If you enjoy a fast pace, we will just refresh rules then play as if time will learn Pinochle (which is not for everyone as its one of the most memorization heavy card games there is)
Please read the rules to attend as people need to be on time and reliably show up as cards requires specific numbers.

Rules to attend: Please arrive on time. 24 hours of fewer BEFORE the event if you cancel that is ok BUT you MUST message me as people are added to the going list automatically. If on the wait list check often as there is a good chance you can go due to cancellations. If you are added within 24 hours of the event I will message you but if you do NOT message back I will give the opportunity to someone else.

There is no cost to play BUT I do ask that each player buys a drink and/or food item to support the business who so graciously reserves a table for us to play.

The plan:

5:30 visit, relax, order food or drinks. There is a big table reserved for us at the entrance.

5:45 Will review bidding and strategy then play.

7:00- Will quickly teach the basics of pinochle. Those who want to come to the whisky barrel for supper/drinks we will play pinochle or those who want to come but not play pinochle can play a differeng game. This is the last cards and coffee until the winter. (Excluding the last social on Sunday May 4th)
