Sass is a Medium publication that seeks to create community through writing. We center BIPOC women and femme experiences with writers and readers from a wide range of backgrounds, who identify as straight, queer, non-binary, and gender expansive. We seek to use our voice and art to challenge the status quo through artistic expression. Learn more about Sass here.

Sass Writer’s Room is an opportunity to gather in community to write and bear witness to one another as we write our way in and through our questions and wrestings, our griefs and joys, and our confusion and clarity.

We will gather bi-weekly for 70 mins to build community while writing. Come as you are with what wants to be expressed or with what needs inspiration. What you can expect is a weaving of structure and flexibility with guided prompts for those who need some inspiration and for others you will find structured time to write what is already resonating. We will open with an embodiment practice to center and ground our time, community check in, 40 mins of writing, followed by community shares for those who want to be witnessed.
