Carpages.ca Case Study: Build Sustainable & Scalable Sass Frameworks w/ SMOOCHY

Details

Let's learn about the "SMOOCHY" approach to organizing your Sass projects.
Scalable, Modular, Object Oriented CSS Hybrid, Yo

This meetup we have two very special guest speakers from Carpages.ca—Matt Rose (http://mattrose.ca) and Arley McBlain (http://arleym.com/)!

We're going to be learning about the open-source framework that Carpages.ca uses to manage multiple websites, which includes how to:

• Organize your projects

• Name components (with Object-Oriented CSS (http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2011/12/an-introduction-to-object-oriented-css-oocss/), & BEM (http://csswizardry.com/2013/01/mindbemding-getting-your-head-round-bem-syntax/))

• Integrate components with JavaScript

• Scale your project without descending into madness

Special thanks to our venue sponsor - http://brightlane.ca/ for kindly donating space for the meetup.

Regards,
Aidan
