Sass Meetup - RSVP OPEN - Hands on SVG Icons with Sass & Gulp

Icon Fonts vs SVG sprites? There's no contest - SVG sprites have emerged as the superior option for flexibility and accessibility.

Bring your Mac laptop and we'll work on getting SVG icons and graphics.

So we'll be wrangling SVG icons with SASS. So the basic process is we'll do the following...

1. Use Gulp to take many small svg icons and combine them into a single large SVG to reduce the number of requests

2. We'll styling those SVG images with CSS so colour variations don't need multiple graphics for things like a icon changing colour.

3. Make it easy to add more icons, and use/reuse them in your scss markup without adding css bloat.

I'll post a "what's required to have installed on your mac" message a little closer to the meetup.
