.NET@NOON: HTMX: Develop Complex Front-Ends Without Complex Workflows

Details
HTMX is a relatively new library which proposes a radical departure from the complex workflows that come with modern front-end development. It hearkens back to the origins of the web, built on hypermedia systems that embrace the nature of hypertext (HTML) controls instead of relying on JavaScript to define behavior. When put into practice, these fundamentals produce simple, expressive code for creating highly interactive user interfaces, with a fraction of the ceremony required when building single-page apps with React, Angular, Vue et al.
Join me for an introduction to hypermedia, followed by a dive into how complex, interactive interfaces take shape using HTMX. We'll also explore the challenges with adopting this 'new' paradigm, and how recent improvements to the ASP.NET ecosystem have re-opened the door to this style of development for us. Let's walk on in!
