Over the summer on two separate occasions people have seen Hope Cassity at a festival, and been so excited about her and have immediately contacted us to say we need to get her here. This is a tall task for someone of her stature, but we have made it happen! She is playing at Red Fest at the U on the Thursday prior, and because of contractual obligation she is limited on where else can play, and as such we have the wonderful opportunity to host her here. This concert will be inside because of the cooler nights, and as such will most certainly sell out. We will be taking a $20 deposit to reserve a seat. You can contact Jack at 801.898.6023 to make it happen, and pay cash or Venmo Donna (link below).
Bring a food item for potluck if you wish, and your own beverage of choice. Gathering at 6:30 for potluck and socializing, and music at 7:00PM. 934 East 2700 South

All donations go directly to the artist.
Hope Casitty has been a staple on the Nashville scene for over a decade. Hope was the NCMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 2015, was a two time top 25 Finalist in the Nashville Music City Songwriting Competition and top 10 in Songwriter Serenade. That year she was also selected to perform at the World Sync Summit. Later that same year her father died, and she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, it almost ended her career. A rare experimental stem cell transplant from her own stem cells halted her symptoms 100% and gave her a new lease on life.
Then in 2018 she was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. Hope's name is associated with words like belief, optimism, faith, and love, and it was these principles that got her through that year, and into remission.
Now that the pandemic is over and she can tour again she is touring again, sometimes with a band, in this case solo, armed with only a guitar, her philosophy is simple: write and perform honestly. Her easy listening melodies and honest words are enough to break down the toughest of genre barriers with influences of rock, blues, and classic country. Her effortless tone is reminiscent of Patty Loveless and Emmylou Harris, while her evanescence and at times, rocker chicesque performances are enough to capture even the most distracted audiences of today. She brings audiences to tears while bringing them to their feet. She creates pin-drop silence in the chattiest of rooms, and she inspires budding songwriters with her unrelenting work ethic and her generous heart.
