What we’re about

Saturday Club's mission is to build community among multilingual families, and to help multilingual kids strengthen their English minority language skills. Here's an overview of our sessions this year!

Toddler (11:45am - 12:30pm) - Ages 1 - 3 and parents - This group is for the little ones who are just learning to speak. We sing songs, look at picture books, play simple games, and work on simple, age-appropriate vocabulary (colors! farm animals! etc.).

Preschool (10am - 11:30am, plus 12:45pm - 2:15pm if the first group fills up) - Ages 3 - 7 - This group is for bigger and more independent kids who like more active games, being read to, doing crafts, and practicing their conversation skills!

Schoolkids (10am - 11:30am) - Ages 7-10 - This is for kids who can read (at least simple sentences). We work on all kinds of projects in this group - from designing our dream houses, to planning and drawing comics together, to playing simple role playing games. This group incorporates speaking and listening, and occasional reading and writing.

Teen Roleplaying (11:40am - 1:25pm, 1:30pm - 3:15pm) - Ages 10 and up - these groups are using language for FUN! Role playing games let kids explore worlds far beyond their everyday lives, helping them broaden their vocabulary, improve their social skills, and just plain use their language for FUN!
