Burke Lake and Starbucks
Details
We are hiking once around Burke Lake. The trails are all hard surfaces including pavement and stones. You do not need hiking boots for this hike.
Distance: 4.78 miles
Elevation Gain: 112 feet
We are meeting in the marina parking lot. After entering the park, drive straight down the hill until you come to a huge parking lot. You can't go any further.
The hike should take approximately an hour and a half depending on the walking speed of the group.
Parking:
Parking is free for those who live in Fairfax County VA. For others, there is a $10 per car entrance fee. Sometimes there is no one at the booth so everyone gets in free. I can't guarantee that is going to happen this time.
There are rest rooms at the marina and they should be open.
The hike will be followed by an optional trip to Starbucks, 7475 Huntsman Blvd, Springfield VA.
Starbucks is only 4 miles from the park.
This Starbucks has both indoor and outdoor seating.
