Seneca Creek State Park and Barking Mad Cafe

We are hiking in Seneca Creek State Park, including Seneca Creek and Clopper Lake. The trails are made up of various surfaces. The trail around Clopper Lake can be a little rocky or uneven in places. We recommend hiking boots for this hike.
Distance: 6 miles
Elevation Gain: 456 feet
We are meeting in the parking lot. After turning onto the park entrance road, take the first right turn into the parking lot (if you arrive at a booth with an attendant you have gone too far on the park entrance road). Use the following coordinates (not the address or the map) to find the parking lot: 39.151316,-77.249237
The hike should take approximately two and a half hours depending on the hiking speed of the group.
There is no parking fee for this hike.
There are rest rooms next to the parking lot and in two separate locations part way through the hike. There are also restrooms on the park entrance road just before you get to the booth with attendant. There is no telling which of the restrooms, if any, will be open.
The hike will be followed by an optional trip to Barking Mad Cafe, 239 Spectrum Ave, Gaithersburg, MD
Barking Mad Cafe has different types of coffee and tea as well as food.
Barking Mad Cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating.
Barking Mad Cafe is only 3 miles from the trailhead.
