Rock Creek Park Northern and Buna Coffeehouse

We are hiking the northern section of Rock Creek Park. The trails are made up of various surfaces, including grass, dirt, rocks, gravel, and pavement. There are four stream crossings. We recommend hiking boots for this hike.

We are meeting in the parking lot for Rock Creek Park Nature Center. There are many parking lots in Rock Creek Park so make sure you find the Nature Center.

The hike should take approximately three hours depending on the walking speed of the group.

There is no parking fee for this hike.

There are rest rooms in Rock Creek Park Nature Center.

The hike will be followed by an optional trip to Buna Coffeehouse, 4400 Georgia Ave NW, Washington DC

Buna Coffeehouse has different types of coffee and tea, as well as food. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Buna Coffeehouse is only 3 miles from the trailhead.
