  • Learn to go with the flow with watercolor. This expressive medium will allow you to tap into your intuition. Find your creative voice while exploring landscape painting. Topics include pen and ink illustration, layering, brushstrokes, texture, and composition. Work in an authentic studio at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston, complete with reference materials, high ceilings, and lots of light.
  • Supplies: Cold-press watercolor paper (block recommended)
  • Princeton Velvet-touch soft short handled watercolor brushes: 1/2" or 1/4" flat, medium round, small round
  • Palette (could even be a white plate)
  • paper towels
  • spray bottle
  • tube paints (primaries only): alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow
  • recommended brands: Winsor Newton or Daniel Smith
  • not recommended: cakes in too many colors as you will get confused and will have a hard time getting saturated color.
  • If you can't find the supplies I have some you can borrow.
